brakelight decklid doesnt seem to go with low truck semaphores, but being a forest find it isnt like someone faked in the semaphores either. strange. maybe it got a decklid replacement at some point and its a late '58 / '59? |

yeah, very cool. I think left drive, left door buses are even cooler than right drive buses. And a semaphore BINZ!
I cant wait to see the resto (or rat) on this one _________________ drive your split. |

crossin my fingers, but im gonna say thats a 56 or 57 binz. Those are bubble holes in the rear. Early shiz right there. Prob be the earliest binz in existence. This to me is the find of 09. _________________ Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.

I dont agree or disagree, I dont think we can tell for SURE if those are bubbles holes. Early dollar lense holes did not have the notches for the screws, just TINY little holes which would not be visible in a small photo like that. Im waiting for a binz tag (or vin tag), or a much better shot of the ass.
either way its still a swedish semaphore binz. One of the coolest (if not THE coolest) binz to exist. _________________ drive your split. |

Just uh.... zoom in and look at that passenger side fat base mirror arm.
You know the types of fat base mirror arm that exist. My 57 has The fattest style on the driver side, and the last style of the fat base on the pass side.
This binz has the early fattest style on the passenger side. This bus is without any doubt to me earlier than april 57.
I am a believer, and i like to see monster buses show up. So im being as positive as i can. hence the fingers crossed comment. _________________ Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.

Brakelight decklid semaphore busses use the flat glass lights with the built in reflectors. There wouldn't be holes above and below the taillight opening. If the decklid is original it's May '58 or earlier for certain. |

right, I just meant that the picture is not clear enough to be sure it is bubble/euro (you make a good point about it being euro, so there would be no bubble lenses anyway) lense over dollar lenses.
still, all of this (including the mirror arms) is just speculation because any and all of those parts could easily have been switched. I am not trying to be a pessimist, just discussing the possibilities. I hope it is an early truck! _________________ drive your split. |

what about the semaphore height? My SC is low semaphore at 394XXX, August '58. |

Your right. I spaced that one. May 57 is when semas dropped. hmmm. How long did they have the single brake light in europe?
Still a bad ass truck. Hope its a 57. _________________ Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.
