I see you are making the rear door with wood?
Was the original rear door made of wood?

Wow I never knew the Swedish Binz had wooden rear doors. Very interesting, Barndoor51 do you know how many were made in Sweden?

Itīs original for this crewcab.
as mentioned before, this is a coach built "Binz-wannabe" here in Sweden.
It was built in 1958 of a brand new jan-58 single cab.

Have you gathered information on the coachbuilder?

Really really amazing bus. Makes you wonder how many other odd coachbuilts are still waiting to be found

Is it possible that the white front bumper is original paint? A very limited number of late pressed bumper buses had white paint from factory.

Sorry, the bumper is from another bus. But this is original white.

The wabi-sabi award winner for most sublime resurrection. Incredibly understated and functional VW truck. Remarkable inside and out. Thanks for sharing this epic story.

Yah, you missed a spot. Yesterday I ran through all 56 pages from 2014 to the semlor delivery. By time you get to the wooden interior work it becomes apparent the story should be required reading. Pure genius. Kept shaking my head back and forth for hours.
