So I have read topic after topic and looked at a lot of pics of cars with narrowed beams. I'd like to see some more pics of guys with 6 inch or more narrowed beams, cutting mine this weekend and I still haven't decided how far to go. I know some people hate it and blah, blah, blah, but I love it. So if your more then six inches shorter, show some pride and post some pics and let us know if you have disk or drums. _________________ Building quality HWE style racks for your Type 2 Kahuna Metal Works.

I did. Broke both axles, cracked both axle tubes, cracked the sideplates on the tranny, fucked all 4 fulcrum plates, both sidegears, bent and mangled both axle boot flanges..but didn't spin a single drum!

7.5" beam 2.5" drop spindles. No brakes.
7.5" with 3" drop spindles on stock brakes.
Same set up on stock rims.
6" stock spindles stock brakes.

there welded spindles
