I've been to the old Wolfsburg museum many times, but I've never seen this one. They must have a hidden warehouse were they stash stuff.

I've seen this one in person, the designers were influenced by the van craze in the US of the 70's and 80's.

The white one i saw in the Stiftung museum in Wolfsburg, on the 16 of oktober. this was 5 days afther the 40years of Golf spesial exibition ended and 2 days before the "end of bay production" exibition started. It was behinde som curtains, but i manadged to have good look at it. And Yes they have a big Warehouse with spesial cars.
I hope that it will be at the "30 Yare Syncro" meeting south of Berlin August 14-16 (the late Bay 4x4 wil be there, and a norwegian early bay 4x4)

The black Herse have been in Norway for some years. It is based on a sika.

I found a Doka t25 that has 4doors like the Tristar, i have tried to find some info on the webb that how many of this version Vw made, its complete standard with nothing extras and has 2wd and the DJ 112hp engine, but has factory fitted 4doors.

Hope some of you may have some info, i only found info about the Tristar, that they made 1500 of the Tristar where 500 of them where 4wd.

The 4th door was an option that could be ordered on any doka. All tristars are 4 dr but not all 4 dr dokas are tristars. Here's a old thread that I really need to update on a 16" syncro 4dr I'm restoring. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=564783&highlight=bamboo+yellow My truck also came from Sweden. Most of the factory 4dr dokas I've seen are from Sweden. This may just be because a higher percentage of the Swedish T3's survive due to less salt used in the far north of Europe.

I've posted detailed pictures of the Syncro with the sleek snorkel somewhere on this forum, on a syncro history thread or something Wink

Thanks very much of your information, love your thread of your 16"syncro doka😊.
I also got my a 16"syncro but mine is the kombi version with winch in the front, its a former car for the men who constructed the heavy electric power lines here in west coast Sweden.

Even with all of the dead links, this is still one of my favorite threads. Got on a tangent looking at exotic Vanagons this morning and found these.

Boris has promised to keep Britain ahead of everyone else with Brexit - little do they know he is just issuing calendars.
