Good luck getting them. I haven't heard of anybody getting a set for years. The SA parts are drying up fast, if you want something better get it while you can. You can try http://www.syncrohospital.co.za/

I'll have the owner look into it - worse thing the supplier/mfr can say is no!

I like this thread Very Happy

There seems to be a few model variants that were specific to some markets. The "Coach" is a model I've only seen in Norway, Sweden and Finland. Here is an example that looks like it is fitted with all sorts of extras too:

Here is a norwegian Caravelle CL with sliding doors on both sides, and in black... There were a few of these around 86-87, but wich other markets got them?

Swedish market "Magnum" pickups had sunroofs and some other extras.

And a few more looks the infamous T3 semi has had during the last ten years.. Yes, it's the same car.

Actually, this is my car. Very Happy It was build as an ordinary tvinslider van, and later rebuild with glassfiber body Borcho Hearst. All in Germany, where i bought it a few years ago.

No more Pretzels, now its used for nonprofit pancakes and beer, mainly at VW vanagon gatherings. (immer spass)

@Tristar Eric - the Belgian Wafels Van was shot by me - gues you got the photo from the gallery of T3nettet?
Together with Jan K's syncro doka with rear-lift and the backmobil?

Best regards

Jens Jakob

Overland parts in Gilroy brought in a bunch of the slim bumpers about 6 or so years ago. I bought a couple sets and they were not a big hit. Just noticed that the SA van has much lower side windows.

I had no idea a Doka would push that big a snow blade even a Synchro.
I saw a listing on ebay.de for a doka or single with a cherry picker mounted on back. Isn't the larger green and yellow "camper" a LT not a Vanagon.
Now some of the Swedish Vans had a PTO mounted so they could register them as tractors.
Now to get a Swedish Doka with a six foot snow blower and the dump box from page one. Very Happy Very Happy Would love to see the looks from the chev ford dodge guys and their plow trucks Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

My doka has 4 bolts where a cherry picker used to be, I wonder what the capacity was. From what I know it used to be at a truck dealer...

The coach model was also sold in germany. In sweden the coach model name was misused on many vans , even caravelle C spec vans got the name coach .

That's a t3 vanagon not a LT or at least it was. It looks like they grafted on a small motorhome and slapped it onto a early landrover chassis. Very errr different.
