yes, this sample one in the photo does not have the keyway cut yet, and the inner step above the OT is not fully cut and it is CNC cut from a solid billet... we could make them from a steel billet but I am not sure its needed, if we made these from steel it would ad more machine time to CNC process and increase the bottom line price

An original Pre-A "OT" pulley is made of ductile iron.
All the reproductions seem to be made of aluminum.

These are repro's, but really nice ones, they seem to have the correct look as an original (I'm assuming):

Can anyone familiar with the originals give us a lesson on the small differences between the originals and reproductions? I know the nice repros are really expensive, but they look A LOT better then some of the lower end repros I've come across. Just want to make sure my assumptions are correct before commiting to buy anything.

Hello guys Maybe this is a stuped question but I bought a big nut and pulley setup for the generator for my 36 hp. The guy I bought it from said the crank pulley was needed because of the offset does this matter with the ot pulley?

are these the same diameter as a 36hp vw pulley or are they smalled like a "power pulley" ?

It seems obvious that from the reactions here there is a demand for a bolt on replacement with the stock oil sling. Especially for the price indicated by Anthony. I can count 5 or 6 here already (I will take 3 Very Happy ).

What would be the lead time to get such item reproduced (again)?

that pulley is sick, and looks nice on a vintage speed motor, but i still like stock vw better

Roy used to make a billet OT pulley here in the USA but their was little interest... I think they were around $100-$150 depending if you wanted a sandblasted finish like shown or fully polished ect...

we use to stock them, if there is new people interested I could inquire about making another run of them.... stock slinger and sand seal if necessary...
