Alot of this christmas for me was parts and tools for my bus.
I just bought him a Montgomery Ward's single wheel trailer (http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=334159), which should be getting here in the next few weeks if I can get the shipping sorted.
I was given Pertronix electronic ignition setup which will be installed next week when I get home. I also got a new timing light, tach/dwell meter, compression tester, pressure tester, jack stands, floor jack. |

My bus got an "ugly twin". That's what I'm calling the parts bus . We've worked on the bus yesterday. Got all the cabinet doors working good. Even got one of those rare rear pull handles for the slider. At least I think they're rare, as I've had three buses that didn't have one . We also organized all the parts that we have gathered so far, getting ready for the spring when we can start putting her together. I say her, but we aren't sure yet. Our 5yo has been given the honor of naming this one, and it hasn't told her it's name yet . So to sum it up..our bus got some attention for Christmas. Peace! _________________

Bus didn't get too much this year... but i'm scheduling myself to finally replace the gas tank... the fasty is getting new rear disc brakes, a new axle stub and turtlebacks... the mexi beetle got $1000 worth of stuff including new alt, clutch, sport exhaust, manuals and mexi instrument cluster
and for me and the cars to share... we got a new garage door so we can actually utilize the garage! _________________ Without love in the dream it will never come true |

My bus isn't running reliably and is being cleaned and repaired. It was a $500.00 project.
Still, I bought a replacement bed cushion and two front seats from Jake in Charlotte and my brother inlaw brought them down here yesterday. I couldn't be happier. |

I asked for money for the stereo and transmission. Besides, they know that I will never get it out of the garage if I don't get money to fix the stuff that needs fixin'. I think my wife misses her garage spot. She doesn't see why an Audi A6 should be in the driveway while the bus is in the garage. it makes perfect sense to me. _________________ '63 Bug

I got a dogleg and some pergo! My wife does listen to me sometimes afterall. I did think klockerholm had the better doglegs though? I'm thinking my four year old could've hammered out a closer copy than this thing (crazy wrinkles and metal bunching Wtf?) It's better than jagged rusty doglegs to give my kids tetanus when they climb into it so I'm not complaining too much. _________________ One day as a lion, or a lifetime as lamb

I got a tow bar for my bus from my parents
that with the Camper Special my wife gave me the blessing to buy two weeks ago, and I had an extremely good Christmas
Now the only worry I have is making sure the hitch can fit (or modified to fit) when the camper special is installed

i gave my bus a hug. it seemed awfully lonely sitting out in the rain with a tarp over it, not like last year where everyone and their brother wanted a ride in it... _________________ 1969 Westy, 1690cc. montana red and cloud white.
