He did a much more exotic version with 2 engines. I have an old sports car magazine that has an article about it.

Lou made 3 or 4 of these 2 engine cars. He entered one in the (I think) 46 Indy 500, It crashed late in the race after doing pretty good. It didn't have Porsche engines though. The one Retrotech speaks of had a ramjet front end, it looked really cool. It had twin porsche engines that were supposedly supercharged with roots blowers powered by chainsaw motors. It was destroyed in a crash, racing at Pebble Beach in 1955. The one pictured in Joe h's post may still exist.
