|
|
I searched and couldn't find an answer to this question. I have an old OT pulley, its near the same width as a stock 36 horse crank pulley. It has the grooves in it so I don't need a sand seal, but the section that sticks into the case is a bit longer than my VW pulley. In order to use this thing does it need to be ground down to the same depth as the VW crank pulley?

Hello-
Is the engine assembled? If not, you could try to install it on the crank and see how it fits.

Good idea, if there is enough depth for the three extra threads to sink in all the way then it will line up just like a stock pulley. I'll check it out today.
Thanks,

Can anybody provide the exact dimensions and requirements(grooves etc.) of this pulley? I can draw it exactly in CAD and have it CNC machined then we can all be happy! |

To follow up, it fit fine. Plenty of extra depth on the crank.
