You can't buy raw cable by the foot, but the quantities aren't expensive, although I do recommend the pricier teflon-lined if you want it to work really nice.

Might I ask which actual cable you guys are buying from MFGsupply? I need to replace both the foot well flap control and the defrost cable. There are several different options on that page. Thanks!

Does anyone have a picture of how the cables are to be routed?

I drive a 1989 Westfalia, 2WD, Automatic Transmission.

I took the dash apart to do an engine upgrade (and determine if my front heater core was contaminated like the radiator.)

I'm trying to reassemble, and did not take enough pictures during dissasembly. Live and learn.

I'm wondering if one of the cables is supposed to loop around the bracket for the steering column?? Right now I don't like how it is fitting.....
