Just received a new set of hoops for my double-cab from Derek. The quality and workmanship are awesome. You won't find a set of reproduction canopy hoops that are more original in appearance or reasonable in price. Contact Derek and buy a set - you will not be disappointed !

I actually bought set of hoops from Derek a couple years back. Just now finishing DC resto. Hoops have been welded together (easy to do thanks to DG's markings). Look great! Bumpers are great too. Derek is Johnny on the spot with follow through on orders. Get the canvas from Tom @ Busware and you'll be styling! Joel

Derek is great to deal with. My wife ordered a set of his hoops for Christmas as a surprise and he was able to get them delivered even on short notice. The Hoops are a work of art.

Got my single cab hoops in from Derek and welded them together. They look and fit great. Now if Lowes would only have straight wood! Had to cut my own from a 2 by 10 but at least they are straight. All said and done dang it looks good.

I had the pleasure of meeting Derek just the other day at OCTO. Here's the quick story. I emailed Derek just two weeks ago- asking if he would by chance have a spare pair of hoops he was bringing to OCTO. I was driving down from Boise- and wanted to drool and buy... Well, he promptly emailed me back, but my ISP probably thought he was spam- and filtered him (I'm sure the 'troll' in his address didn't affect.. Very Happy

). Nontheless, I called him last Wednesday. He politely said "I emailed you, knew you were coming, and built you a set anyway" !!!

The nicest guy. Of course, I met him, gladly paid him for terrific workmanship, a great value and super communication. It's getting easy to restore a car online and through catalogs- but it's a whole different feeling when you can invest in great guys like Derek who are true craftsman in their field. Thanks again Derek!

Nothing but good things about this guy. I posted an ad saying I needed a leg for my hoops. He came to the rescue with a as close as you can get to perfect repair piece. He made it up to the weld so the repair would be less noticeable, and it is. Great communication, great service, fast shipper, fair prices.

Drove down to So Cal to Derek's, picked up my hoops, and spent some time talking to Derek. Great guy and the final product was so far well worth the money [and time]. Great comms with Derek throughout the process! If I had another single/double cab, I'd buy from him again. Thanks again, Derek.
