The body whis exist in czech republic was really made in 1941. It is in very nice collector-hands since many years. It is the choise of the owner to publish pictures and more informations before the restoration is done. |
Very well written and it is also very true Bjorn, thank you. I just spoke with the owner and he will publish it as soon as he will be ready with all the necessary materials that goes around, not just pics and some text that would sound "and here you are". Patience gentlemen |

Wow! Right between Fritz Todt and Albert Speer.

Paul Lincke must have been one of der Fuhrer's favorite composers. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Dear TheSamba members, I am extremely thrilled to finally announce you the news:
the genuine existence of the oldest serialy produced KdF beetle has been 100% confirmed today!!!! It is by all means a 1941 and, yes, is in the Czech Republic.
This also makes it the 4th oldest existing as such. We will prepare and post an article about this incredible news very shortly. So stay tuned. Now I´m going for a coupleashots |
Sorry for digging up an old thread but it seems the Czech '41 has made an appearance in a show. Looking at the pictures it seems like a real beauty!

It says:
The car was produced 05 November 1941
Its first owner was Paul Lincke - composer
It was restored between 2013 and 2015
Then it goes on stating mechanical data of the car... |

Wow indeed!
Thanks for the pics Undis (you again ). That reflection of the tent is annoying btw. Ruins the look of the paint job.

So where is the article? Any link? Looks like a very nice job. How much of this KDF really is 1941? |

Relax and lay back pulenej...........
Anyway, some info about it will come soon, just please be patient.
And how much of it is 1941? Well WAAAAY more then any other KdFs we know about. Appart from some body parts that could not be saved or were missing, most of it is 1941. Want proofs? As I said, please be patient _________________ 1959 Type 11 De Luxe Sedan

Love it or hate it but this is the reality of the internet age. I really don't think it is a surprise spoiler for Bad Camberg. See these pictures as a teaser or entree to the car's presentation at BC. A total surprise is not always better than some previous knowledge coupled with anticipation of finally seeing something in full view.
Judging by these few pictures it really looks like a magnificent restoration. Cannot wait to find out more details about the car's history and restoration process. |
