That car really looks brilliant, congratulations to the owner for the careful and impressive resto. It is a huge challenge to source the parts and restore a KdF Wagen to the standard it deserves let alone such a super early one!

Indeed worldwide there are not two handful of KdF beetles left (type 60 and 82e ...) that have retained their original bodies with bodynr. stamp and unmolested front part (inside front trunk area+ gas reservoir), with og doors and lids and unmolested rear window area, og VIN tag in the trunk, og chassis belonging to the body with og chassisnr. panel on the middle tunnel. Some even retained their og floorpans, axles and / or engine. Those few are another ligue compared to pieced together leftovers. |
