I have tried all the different positions for the wires, and I still have no dome light or key warning after two hours. I have 12 volts all the time to the light, despite the switch position. I can get the warning when I put the two gray wires together. The bulb has an intact filament, but there is light smoking on the inside of the tube. I pulled the light, and there is very light corrosion. Pushed it in as hard as would go.

So, anybody having a working system that can tell me where the wires go? How about what to check?

Pay attention to F1, F2, W, and [T1] Thin red wire is the power feed from Fuse #8. It's pretty straightforward.

Danke, Georg! Trouble is, it is wired that way... Confused Seemed backwards, but proved it wrong with touching the two grays, assuming when the switch slides back it bridges the front and rear contacts.

Take your VOM and put it to ohms, and check across the bulb.

You might have bad door contact switches, too. Again, the VOM will tell.

Danke! Very Happy Did not think of checking resistance; will do when I get the chance.
