Does anyone know of a builder out in West Texas who could take my 71 bug and make it a SCORE compliant Class 5/1600?
Thanks for any help in advance.

No, but I could hook you up with an already proven car in SoCal. Where in Texas would you race a 5-16?

Haven't found a place in Texas yet but plan to take out to CA/AZ and run there. I'm in LA now so could go visit the place while I'm here.
Where are you suggesting?
Thanks

Someone at Baja Racing of Texas would know (you can race with them as well). I know there are at least a few offroad shops in Texas (big place though), one of which had a 5 Unlimited, so they've worked with Baja's before.

I race a class 5 (semi unlimited). I fail often, but it is a bunch of fun and way affordable compared to the west coast racing.

Loren is deaf, so he may not answer the phone... I suggest texting or emailing. This is from his facebook page:

He was on the COPS team before moving to Texas.
I had him co-drive with me once. That was the last race I finished and we won the class... only 3 of us, but I still won Smile

I appreciate all the help. Maybe I'll be the 4th on Class 5.
