I heard there are places to go riding quads and go offroading with rails and 4x4s out by the coal mines in PA or something? Is that Paragon I am thinking of, if so can you go anytime or is it restricted to certain days, and is there trails..jumps and such? thanks for info

Paragon rules don't say anything about 2 wheel drive bajas or rails..it seems more geared towards 4x4s..I'd rather not have to worry about groups and so many rules and regs so much Rolling Eyes

I swear that is the most rules I have ever seen in a OHV park by far. That is just crazy... have to watch a safety video before you can go in?

Yea there are some dumb BS rules..I guess this one would rule me out since Im not registering or insuring my rail nor do I plan on getting it street legal..this place is about 90miles from my house..I need a place where there is a good amount of open land where they don't bust chops..

All SUV/4x4’s must be insured. PA State Law requires all ATV’s to be registered and insured (or conform to your States ATV Law). We are not a law enforcement agency, if you do not have what your State requires, you ride at your own risk.

Paragon has been closed for 1-2 years now. The operators are still looking for other land for another adventure park.

A friend of mine has been going to Rausch creek since Paragon closed.

There's also another old strip mine she and her husband go to out west a little further.

Thanks John for the link to the site..do you know if you absolutely have to be street legal to get in? I can call and ask but I'm afraid they are gonna say it is required...otherwise I may just hit the NJ Pine Barrens.

Anyone have any addresses I can plug in to my GPS in the NJ Pine Barrens? I would like a list of good trails to ride on and the addresses would help me find my way back, Thanks.

Do a google map search of "Forked River Mountain". I used to drive around on those dirt roads all the time. They are real roads, so you can't get in trouble for being on most of them unless you are being an idiot. Be as careful as you can not to accidentally end up on private property. However, much of the pine barrens are "wildlife management areas". Be sure to be out before sunset because you can get a ticket.

Whoops, just realized you are not registered/street legal. So most of the Pine Barrens would be off limits. Your best bet is an offroad park or find someone who lets you on their property.

Good luck.

Tower City, PA is pretty good..a little rocky.. bring extra tires. Coal fields and hills are worth it alone for quads. Membership or day-pass required.
Camping available too. If you go, post about it. I have not been there in a couple years.

We're looking for a new spot for the sandrails for some safe fun riding..possibly Northeast PA, or in NJ. Let me know, looking for riding buddies, thanks.
