70 beetle and I am repacking the CV joints.

Both sides are leaking transaxle fluid into the inner joint. Anyone know the part number for that seal that prevents that?

I don't even know the name of the seal. Thoughts?

Thanks!

They are called final drive cap seals....I had a heck of a time finding the name myself. Here is a link to one:

Don't poke holes in them with a screw driver to take them out.
I have found many of them that way.

If they are leaking already then it is fine to poke holes in them to remove them, as you already need new ones. It is easier to poke holes in them to remove them and they install really easy.
