What is that on the right rear fender above the taillight ??

^ I think it's a "B" that was put on a lot of Belgium cars. Wiggy's old Split from Belgium (that eventually got restored ) had it too.
I can't stop looking at the pics of this car. I am an original interior JUNKY and now I have drool all over my laptop. _________________ Evan H.

That's a chromed "B" like "Belgium"! In the 50's many cars had a chromed B on the rear right fernder or on the middle of the lid...

Thanks for the info. By the way you do have a beautiful OG car there. I would guess that it's close to a '55 (which is what I have, not near as nice tho) with just a few differences that we wont go into,

I've got found a july 53 owner manuel in Dutch language. The oval comes from the North of Belgium, and in the North the people speak Dutch...

wasn't the first owner of this car a man who ran a volkswagen garage in the antwerp district ????
