Hi,
Today task was to repair the hacked rear apron.
It was cutted in the 70's I guess to fit a double tips muffler.
Now the 53 is back to his original factory condition, my friend Pierre has welded step by step to keep the original paint as much as possible !! The result is nice
Now, I'm working on the paint, next step !!! I'd repaint the apron completely but will try to do only touch up as the paint has not burnt.
New updates soon
Yan

Hi,
Happy new year 2017
So, the preservation of my 53 continues !
the rear apron is now primered and ready for paint blending
I'm managing to remove the bumps on my front fender with a specialist of this kind of job soon, and we have removed the non correct headlight bucket who was just glued in the fender
So, still looking for correct split bucket, if somebody has it, let me know

Hi,
The NOS link pin set is now fitted and ready to mount on the front beam.
I'm waiting for order with brake parts and seals to continue
And I'm still stopped on the body with my missing fender headlight bucket... If somebody would help me finding a Oval pair, that'd great

Hi,
Here some update after fews weeks.
Last week I received the bolts, nuts, small parts I send to black passivation in february, looks like news now I'm happy to see the render !
I also found some nos bolts, I bought from Mika virtanen brand news early style large pan washers that I have also zinc plated.
Now the 53 is almost ready to put the body back on the chassis,
Still waiting for tyres tubes, fit brake pads with rivets and change the broken hubcaps rivets of the wheels

The 19mm ate 4 bolts cylinders wheels are now ready to fit the car
They received a coat of brown wax as I did on the rear, looks like NOS
I've sourced NOS ate pistons to restore it.
I've found also the missing old style domed screws who hold the brake spring regulator, looks nice !

Next job will be cleaning the fuel tank and cap, change the broken hubcaps rivets, and fit riveted brake pads.
I'm sourcing the last missing parts to finish the 25 hp.

Looks very nice - just one small note - your locking wire is installed wrong and will not fulfill it´s purpose. It should be fitted so it secures the bolt against rotation in the loosening direction - as it is now it actually pulls in the loosening direction, so you risk that the bolt will work loose over time.
