Okay not a type 3 but it does have a VW tail light
This is what happens when I don't have a car project in the winter. Fiberglass project #3 , a home built version of the Scandinavian side bike, and my co-pilot Maya wearing her Rex specs to keep the bugs and dirt out of her eyes.

Washed it, waxed it and drove it to Pomona. Was expecting to see all the European vendors and visitors and all of the normal sellers . But all I saw was a bout 50 cars and about 30 vendors. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.

pulled the first Carbon Kamei spoiler from the mould, the biaxial fabric is really nice to work with......until it has epoxy on it, then the slivers are brutal.
used the UV poxy for the clear finish on the carbon fiber, usually it's gel coat.
trimmed up and sitting under the square, this one is for the wifes super, mine will be regular biaxial fiberglass with black gel coat finish.

Damn that looks good. I know what you mean about the shards being sharp, as I helped John J work on Brian's parts at the 04 Invasion. I still have a small sample in my Notch that I carry around of it. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Well, spent the afternoon finishing up the wiring, and plumbing (fuel) on my son's car. Shot a little DP primer on some spots as well. Getting ready to fire it off in the afternoon, then re-install the windshield. This "little" project has taken a long time to get this far, and I need to update his thread with some pics (they're on the camera), as it's come a long way since he started (but it also looks the same... kinda). In case you haven't been following, we grafted in the entire rear section of the car from a 71 Squareback, and added an IRS subframe, along with a 1.7 L T-4 out of a 914, and put it all back together in his 65 Square/Roadster. But then this was a revision, and partial rebuild, not a full blown resto. We've been working on it almost daily for the last 4 to 6 weeks now, and I'm ready to see it exit my garage (so I can have it back). That, and I want to hear that T-4 engine and what it sounds like thru the header and the M-80 (Cherry Bomb's name for it), as it's all piped in 2 1/2 inch piping. I'll update his thread after I get some sleep. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I've lost track of when I did it, but sometime over the past couple of weeks I took my car to Tram. Hopefully I'll see it again in the next couple of years.

Pulled off my rear fender and put my amateur body work skills to work with my harbor freight hammer and dolly set. Beat out some dents and creases that have been bothering me.
