Cliff Notes Version:
"Hey you want to buy some parts and my father in laws old race car" Me: "Yep"
Goal was to just paint it satin and smash around with as a parts hauler, I had some problems with the paint so after cutting and buffing this is what it turned into..far from a show car, but looks good going down the road.
Car was owned by a VW mechanic since the early 70's he use to race it at Bugorama (has a bunch of dash plaques still on the dash) need to go see his family and see if they will give me some of the racing pictures...car is fast, not sure what size motor it has..but it's a blast to drive. |

Black is a tough color to work... it magnifies every flaw. Looks good from here. Welcome to the Type 3 life. It won't beat your kidneys like the others... _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I am now the proud owner of my first type three. This adds to the collection with the 71 standard I have had for 20 years. New battery yesterday and brake job is getting done this weekend.

Installed some retractable 3 point seatbelts from CIP1, with custom made mounting brackets. Drove her to work tonight. Steering needs tightening up and the monoxide is getting in the car somehow. Still, she's fun to drive!

It came from TMI purchased through mid america motorworks, took them almost 2 months to complete, though. Also grabbed the panels from TMI as well, as soon as I get them installed I'll post a pic of them as well |

I decided to finally get my 1970 fi automatic tasty back on the road after discovering it had a cracked case back in 2008. Hasn't been started since then, and hasn't been registered since2001! Had it since I was 15 in 1991. It's time...
