Besides corner window buses this is the best vw made but I'm biased with now 3 of them but hard to pass up.

I wonder if that means we should expect asking prices for DCs to go up again...I honestly expected it to sell at about $20,000, since most bidders would not have had the chance to see it in person.
I too would like to know who saw it in person and if it were a very original DC. The pictures suggested it was, but I don't recall the overall condition of the lower metal and floors. _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

It looked cool but $39K, even without the extra fee, seems crazy to me.
I think $20K would have been more realistic as well, unless it was somehow very low rust in Nebraska (unlikely?) _________________ How to Post Photos

First post.. I thought what better place than here! I have been drooling over this for years and finally got the chance to bring it home. She needs a fair bit of love but that's half the fun right?

Heads up - your tire is flat. |
He might not have noticed since the driver's side is on the right! Good save.
In related news, the hubcap has a little bit of patina art with the likeness of a mudflap girl- at least the legs. Me like! _________________

Anyone recognise this 63 ? Was imported to Jersey Channel Islands from San Diego I think about twenty years ago. Distinguishing features were black Mexican pattern interior , when that was stripped off it revealed a delightful full denim upholstery job ! Also had paint that was thick like plastic and snapped off in chunks revealing Turkis . I picked it up rotting in a field a few years back and is now undergoing a full resto back to original .
As found after pumping tyres and getting it running .
Present state after a lot of metal work by Matt Gill. (Pics in gallery)

I don't recognize it but yes, the Turquoise paint looks great!
I noticed in the original White photo it has a 64-up cargo door, did you replace that with a correct one?
It has the extra indent that was added for push-button front doors
Edit:
I just saw that you posted a ton of photos in the gallery and the door is correct
