Thank you I have been on the hunt for a bullet nose doublecab for a few years now. Here is the Mcode plate

And it’s a great-looking one, so patience prevails! Yours is less than a week before and less than 2,000 buses before the switch to humpback front bench. Cool. _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

congratulations, beautiful truck. I hope to see it at some local shows -
I guess no one answered your question about your distributor. I would reach out to Hazetguy - he can tell you. _________________ SOUTHERN INTEGRITY AIRCOOLERS

Yes.
If you want to look really correct too, you want the vacuum line with a loop in it:
or
'61 had no loop at all, just a straight vacuum line, but that was a bad idea as it let moisture flow back into the distributor diaphragm and wore it out _________________ How to Post Photos

Thanks Everett. I’ve got the correct distributor just need the vacuum canister and metal line. I’ll be scouring the classifieds in search of them!!! _________________ Matthew Tolbert

Forgive this "noob" if I'm doing a forum post the wrong way. I did search for about a half hour first.
I just got a '67 Double Cab so this is all new to me. Does anyone know if the DC rear passenger door is interchangeable with a standard bus door? The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project illustrations at http://oacdp.org/pdfs/5867s8.pdf aren't readable regarding doors in the Body Section 8. I'd appreciate anything regarding the subject. Thanks! |

I haven't tried to swap it but people have said it's the same.
The pop-out window will be reversed though as the popout hinge is on the other side of the window frame.
I have seen a few Double Cabs with a backwards pop-out window so I believe they used a regular Bus door _________________ How to Post Photos

Thanks for the confirmation. I think I’ll pick up a swap meet bus door and do a side-by-side. I wouldn’t be as interested if my door wasn’t so “roached out”. |

I had a regular bus cargo door on my 60 for ages before I restored it and got a correct DC one. The only difference is the way the pop out window mounts and the latch mount is different. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Flipped spindles, adjustable beam, and 2" raised steering box. Previous owner built it to lay on the ground (the wheel wells weren't tubbed though). _________________ 67 Bug

Beater? I don’t see it that way. That is how a truck as old as that should look and should be used. Mine is nearly the same. A truck unused is a useless truck (parody from Spies Like Us, 1985) hahaha _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz
