Hey, the carpet is beige (light brown) and (with the exception of the heat outlets) supposed to be the original color and material. The seat covers are cloth but not original. For upholstery look here:

yes headliner silver beige cloth (Oppermann); rear luggage compartment beige carpet, same as in the front area.
Note that the emergency flash switch and the ignition lock are not original either, but had to be installed due to German law. |

'61s did not have sliding covers over the footwell heater vents.
Original leatherette seat covers for U.S.-market, L87 '61s were silver beige with heat-formed pleats.
The hardest interior part to find (if you don't have them) will be the kick panels under the rear seat. They don't have the heater vents and the color (brownish gray) is a close match to the carpet. I don't believe these are being repro'd. _________________ Thanks,

the holes for the heat outlets in the carpets are originally kind of oval and have a plastic rim. It is correct that they donīt have a sliding cover.
The description of the kick panels is also correct (no heat outlet), but I would describe the colour as grey-greenish... |

'61-'68 used the same style plastic grommet around the footwell heater outlet and the color should match the floor mats. _________________ Thanks,

I meant to dig this up a few days ago and got sidetracked. This was a customer's car of the shop I used to work at - some stuff like carpet and headliner had been redone, but the door panels and steering wheel/column I think were all still original.

Hello,
I'm new here and own a total original pearlwhite beetle with sunroof from June 1961. All paint, carpets and cloths are original.
This is the right cloth for the seat covers:
http://www.steufmehl.com/product_info.php?info=p659_Sitzstoff.html
The right headliner is "beige" from oppermann.
The right carpet is not the one, showed by alex857, it has to be darker, you'll get it at the same address as the cloth for the seats. When I have the time, I'll take photos. Do you need photos from special corners?
Can someone tell me a good address, where to get a very good white sunroof cover in vinyl as original, without the sewed edges?
