can i route the FI return line into one of the breather nipples on the top of a carburated fuel tank? or is that just not feasable?
thats how this bus was hooked up when i got into it, i just want to know if its OK or should be replaced with a later model tank
i just spent 6 days acid washing, marine clean and now "metal ready"ing this tank only for it to just click this morning that this damn tank didnt have2 fuel nipples on the bottom... i feel like a retard! _________________ Brian

Just tap a new line for a return down at the bottom of the tank. Be sure to remove the "sock" in the tank if you still have one.

Why go through all that trouble when you can just put a tee in the main supply line and put the return line to the tee? _________________ '71 Tin Top Westfalia

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I know someone on here did just that, and it works just fine for him. I forget who it was though. _________________ '71 Tin Top Westfalia

I think I would prefer to put a new line in there as opposed to a "Y" in the fuel line. Especially if the tank is already out. Any radiator shop could do that for you for cheap money. |

thats what i was thinking randy, might as well be as close to stock as possible.
do you think it will matter if i just re-lined the fuel tank with the por restoration kit? _________________ Brian
