Just curious if anyone has seen gas gauges dated before 1965 which are marked 12 volts. My 5/65 truck is a factory-12-volt model, and should have had a 12v gauge... or did VW just slap in 6v ones? A 63 parts manual does have a list of 12v parts, and the gauge is 211919033

but all the ones I have seen are 66 up.

When I got the bus it had a nonworking 67 gauge in it, and a 6v dated 63 tossed under the seat. So no help there. Asking here rather than split bus forum since likely more Beetles than buses were made 12v before 67.

The one marked M620 is the one I’d like to see a pic of for proof; my bus has that M code so should have 12v gauge… but I’ve never seen one. Then I need to find one in real life!
