Just curious if anyone has seen gas gauges dated before 1965 which are marked 12 volts. My 5/65 truck is a factory-12-volt model, and should have had a 12v gauge... or did VW just slap in 6v ones? A 63 parts manual does have a list of 12v parts, and the gauge is 211919033
but all the ones I have seen are 66 up.
When I got the bus it had a nonworking 67 gauge in it, and a 6v dated 63 tossed under the seat. So no help there. Asking here rather than split bus forum since likely more Beetles than buses were made 12v before 67. _________________ Craig K

The one marked M620 is the one I’d like to see a pic of for proof; my bus has that M code so should have 12v gauge… but I’ve never seen one. Then I need to find one in real life! _________________ Craig K
