Caleb!! Sell those things and get your single cab going. It's been too long and we need you at the shows! You were missed at vintage weekend for sure, we needed some spark to get the Saturday night shenanigans rolling!

The green rag-top has a February 1959 birth date, the other is a May 1960.

I'm definitely keeping the ragg-top, been stuck on it for a long time!

The truck is still in the works, been doing some Beetle stuff lately.

See you guys next weekend for the cruise?

Here are some I've found at a junk yard fairly close to where i live. Looks like the grey one had a pretty bad engine fire at one point. Think there were 5 ghias 1 bay window and then 3 bugs or so. Still on the lookout for that earlier beetle though.

A teaser....
Purple car ( modified 63 bug ) and I went to our usual Friday night hangout ( Biff Burger in St. Pete FL ) and sat with " The Gang "

I have the only VW in a world of U.S. muscle cars ......
A stranger asks " Who is the Volkswagen guy "......" I have a set of VW carburetors in my garage are you interested ? "
...... So today I went and bought the carbs for $125 ; a pair of Delorto 48"s with filters , manifolds AND linkages ..... Very Happy
When I went to leave he tells me to go by a local address and look at the rusty old Bug a guy wants $5000 for ...."It's in his yard I saw it when I was working on his cable tv service ."

ALWAYS GO LOOK !!!!

The 56 OVAL has all the glass , a clean new interior and decent paint
.the rusty parts are the cheep aftermarket front and rear bumpers....
.clean original floors and heater channels with original tarboards .....and a frozen up engine

more info A F T E R the deal is done !!!!
