It's no OG paint '58 beauty, but I finally found the 3 missing correct motor parts for my very original '67 Ruby red sedan. 105-1 Carb, 205K Dist., and a 115C short black 12V coil. All found at various recent '22 SoCal show/swaps. Total outlay was a surprising $35 bucks. Now, crossing my fingers the coil actually works. Haha. Obviously, none are perfect, but I can work with that. Can a coil be rebuilt? What should resistance be?

https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/this-toronto-house-is-s...-1.5842866
I was reading this article about a $1.8M derelict house in Toronto (because I like abandoned houses, and this one is super cool).
Anyway, I couldn't help but notice the last photo. I e-mailed the real estate agent, got a phone call in about 2 minutes, drove out to Toronto, met the owner and we came to a very reasonable agreement. The property was sold as-is so the car would have almost definitely ended up being scrapped. There was a Thing jammed in behind it as well, parked with the roof missing since 1980. I wasn't able to find a single piece of it worth salvaging.
The owner has lived here since the early 60s, and just has a section of the main level sectioned off into a little apartment so he can afford to heat the place, living well below the poverty line. The house sold for $2.3m in just over a week to an architect who will be restoring it. Bob (the original owner) is rather excited and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
The rescue went well, and even after being parked for 30+ years, the Beetle rolled out of its resting place without even having to free up any of the drums. It's remarkably complete and very original, does need the usual heater channels and pans but she's got good bones - and was a one owner car!

A couple of days ago I went and looked at this 67 sunroof Beetle in Los Alamos, NM. It’s kinda rough but is priced right at $4500. Unfortunately for me the required repairs are beyond my skills but it might work for you.

Hey anyone in Ga. know of a 63 to 69 bug for sale that is legit. Not a scammer tiring to take my money!! I am looking for an older model / had a 65 and made the mistake of selling it, now I miss driving it. I want one I can drive and work on if I have to but would like to find one, I can use as a daily driver. I live in North Georgia so I would like to find one I can drive and see and pick up or drive back when I buy it. Thanks, if anyone can help. John 678-986-0809 |

Found this beetle in the desert for sale. Vin# says it’s a December 57
Convertible……original paint ….. it’s also rust free zero cancer and NEVER been in an accident perfect front and rear Aprons .. Came with really early parts like oval rear view mirror perohaus grab handle and early oval convertible banana rear window BUT the killer score is that it came with a 49-52 split beetle hood

I got a tip on a '58 convertible today, bummer is my camera crapped out, I only got 1 pic:
It is pretty rough, so I passed, wrong time of year and I don't have time for trying to flip a rough vert. It was missing the fenders, rear seat, damaged hood & deck lid, dead engine, top rear bow was missing pretty rotted out too. _________________ Tom

I thought it was earlier than the guy said, it was full of stuff so I couldn't look at the vin under the back seat area, plus it had a locking hood latch, so I could not open the hood. Also, there was a latch at the Pass door post, that looked just like the top latches, it looks like it was added to keep thhe pass door closed. _________________ Tom
