I have been looking for a long time for a seal that goes around the door lock on the slider. The handle and the lock (where you put the Key) are separate and I am missing the seal. Does anyone know of a supplier. It is a 74. thanks in advance

You might try Chris at Busted Bus. He had one for my '76/77 buses. Not cheap, however. Smile

I got mine from CIP. Doesn't look so nice in the pix, but looks really sharp on the bus Razz

I also ordered one for the handle itself, and for that, well, I haven't really tried it on, cos eyeballing it and it doesn't look like it'll fit.

The one for the lock came in a West Coast Metric packaging if that means anything.

Those seals usually fall down inside the slider door. Open it up and you will probably find it down in the muck. Otherwise, a simple repair that seems to work rather well is to use a black garden hose washer. They fit in there nicely and it's hard to tell the difference.

Thanks. I I thought I searched all the vendors listed in the above posts, but I guess I didn't look hard enough. Thanks again

the OG one seals to the door and lock to keep water out. There is also a seal on the outer handle and a hard foam piece in their too that is near impossible to find.

I could have sworn the OG one inserted into the door and also around the lock. Kind of like a mushroom, but I might not remember correctly.

That's the one I got...looks good. Hmmm my earlier link did not work. Try this one.

I'm not sure how one of the posters said that the seal can fall inside the door. This seal literally presses in from the outside. I was always bothered by the big gap between the lock tumbler and the door skin. With this seal, it just looks so much nicer now. Get it man, its cheap and it works.

I also like the other's guys idea to use the garden hose washer. FWIW, I used that to seal between the door mirror and the body after the CIP seal failed to work. That one is a waste of money.
