Great post as I will doing the same with my newly purchased '64 Bug project. I plan on purchasing the Kaddie Shack pre-assembled set of 2.5" drop spindles up front ($388) with with brand new German link/king pins already installed. I plan on using my stock beam and drum brakes as well. I also plan on mounting 4.5" 911 Fuch replica wheels up front with 145/65/15 tires and lowered shocks. I will also be installing Kaddie Shack adjustable drop plates ($99) in the rear with 5.5" Fuch replicas and 195/65/15 for the stance I am looking for. I am trying to avoid tire rub at all costs and looking for a smooth ride as well.

I know this is an old post, but the write up is very good, just wondering if there was a way to get the pictures back up, more of a visual learner myself.

TIA

Send Focker a private message (PM) and ask him to post the pics to TheSamba.

This is why linking pics from image shack, photo bucket, etc sucks... the pics get deleted or the user closes their account and the pics disappear making the topic pretty much useless.
