I was surfing through pics on the web and found a pic of my old 86 single cab. I didn't take this pic, but I remember exactly where it is.

Back in 89 "In-n-out burger" had one last restaurant heading north out of LA. We stopped there everytime on our way home.

I had a door magnet, that read " Transimporters"... boy that was a while ago.

beater. leaked fuel and had to park it out by the highway so it wouldn't burn down the neighbourhood. wheels would start shaking at random intervals. died an inglorious death in its "sleep" one day while I was at work up the mountain.

I was driving a 60 single cab with EMPI sprint stars and a Brazilian black canopy with a 40 HP motor.
That was sold and replaced with a 70 Crewcab ,powered by a 110 HP 6 Cyl Corvair with A/C and all of the goodies.
I remember being in Eric's Grey single cab right after he first bought it ,that was the coolest thing at the time.

Me - a 1984 Honda Civic 4-door beater. Good traffic fighter, because everyone knew I didn't care.

The wife - now she had me beat pretty bad here. A 1979 VW Super Beetle Convertible. Triple White and immaculate.

What was I driving? Miss daisy.
Took a job for awhile in Vegas driving taxi that year.
Stories? Man, you wouldn't believe what went on in cabs.
Had two shotguns put to my head one night.... now that I think about it, a vanagon would have made a pretty good cab.

I apparently leased from the same dealership as Mightyart, though I ended up with a smaller model...

Those lease terms were pretty steep....
