|
|
While surfing around the web I found a logo'd single cab photo, with a story on where it's at, I'm to far away, but someone needs to go dig this thing out, So why not a thread for this kind of stuff that other's know of or have found that they know they're never going to get.
So let me start with this one If you're close to Monterey county, California. I know this may cause the vultures to go crazy, but we do need to save busses like this before they rot to nothing
Here's a link to the story about it, not much but a location and a little story. Scroll 1/4 of the way down

I have passed on a few finds. As much as some people seem to hoard old vws, they can't keep them all. interesting bus, when do you think the logos were applied? |

Looks like 70s vintage to me. What is in that headlight bucket? |

It looks as though rusty water has stood in the headlight? looks like sealing wax is showing through the paint on the nose to me too. |

I see that many of us don't want to disclose found bus locations, but what the hell we can't have them all. Here's 2 more for anyone close to Parsons, Kansas. The mango is one that I got a while back. The other 2 are still there. 1 is a 1960 bench seat non double door lt grey panel good project and the other is a rolled over sea blue 66 deluxe, good for parts. I'll try to find the guy's contact info and pm it to anyone interested.

Yamaha used the yellow base with the black segmented stripes from the late 60's until 1983. They offered a special edition yellow/black YZ a couple of years ago. |

the paint job on that SC would be from the famous mid 70's scheme " YamaHauler" many vans of the era were painted like that, well econlines and such. Thats the only VW I recall. Very cool and if it were near me and I had the dough I would snap it up. _________________ 63 15 window deluxe Turkis walk through 1500

No fee required brother.
I'm keeping you in mind.
Spring is always good for shaking a few buses out of the bus tree. _________________ The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge
