OK - I searched, but got about a million hits as you would expect.
I am looking for more pictures or info about the wide-5 (5x205) pattern "Big Wheels" Brand. They were a 2 piece (steel rim and alum center I think) with an almost kindney-bean/speedmaster style to them.
There was one picture on a Red Bug in Seume's Cal Look Beetle book, but haven't been able to run down much more. Any help? Anyone got a set? Did they make them in any other bolt patterns?
Appreciate the help.

The "Big Wheels" were made here in Garden Grove California and are very hard to find. The caps are even harder. I had a set with the original caps but sold them to finance a project I had. They came in 15 in. and 14 in. in many different widths alway's with a chrome barrel and painted center. Alot of people back in the day would polish out the rib's and it looked bad ass. Here's a pic of what I used to own they now reside in Florida with good ol Chadd aka "Ratlook"

That's exactly the info I was looking for.
They have to be expensive and rare if I want them! Heh.
Well, I'll just have to keep my eyes open. They're for a future project, so no hurry. |
