Yep, Hollywood and Vine, summer 1963.
The Pantages is still there. Those Hollywood streets have never really been glamorous (other when they are prettied up for openings), but in the years since then it has not gotten better...

Love the bus with the Magirus/Deutz logo. Hands down the coolest logo bus I've ever seen. |

I guess they had a phone line attachment point there but couldn't leave the actual phones for fear of theft or vandalism? |
I recall a similar rig locally in the 70's (not a VW), it showed up at big events like airshows and fairs. AFAIK it was wired to a landline somehow. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

2 guys on the left shaking hands, their hands look weird to me.
Maybe the guy on the far left has a hand nubbin?
They need to switch coats or pants so one of them can rock the full plaid outfit
3rd is playing pocket pool
4th guy - Guy has a super long torso? It looks like he needs to pull up his pants. _________________ How to Post Photos

That guy on the far right has a wallet in his back pocket that probably gave him scoliosis. |

2 guys shaking hands - freemasons and one is a most excellent master?
4th guy is eating the product and therefore lost his waist. _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

We had a local Pussycat Theatre in Canoga Park back in the '60s/'70s. As kids we used to giggle at the double-entendre movie names. I didn't realize it was a chain with so many locations!
