Cool! There was a "Dog-n-Suds" drive-in in my home town (Carmi, IL) for years. I remember it being there for the longest time when we'd visit our grandparents every summer. My Dad mentioned going there when he was a kid, and there is at least one photo of it in his HS yearbook. It was close to our grandpa's welding shop. It closed for a while in the '90s, and the last time I was there a few years ago it had reopened as a BBQ joint. Don't recall ever seeing one, or even a photo of one, anywhere else. I guess Team Lotus didn't have a lot of money to throw around since they hauled their race car to the track on the back of a Single Cab. You would hope they hung a red flag on the tail of the Lotus to catch the attention of drivers of high profile vehicles (like the truck pictured) coming to a stop behind them.  |

I think it is a '67. I zoomed in as much as possible. Headlamps can appear to be the sloped '66 due to the lighting near the top, but the car clearly has the wide rear track which started with the '67. Also, the Squareback "above" the '67 looks to have the large headrests, indicative of a '68 which would've been available in late '67 already. |
