I'm trying to figure out how this particular vapor line was routed. Most of the ones I've seen have a straight steel line where my hand is holding my line, and there is a tee running to the right side, and to the canister.
A pic of the correct routing would be great!

If the hose you're holding is the one that goes back to the charcoal canister from the T near the very back top of the engine bay (the other two lines are steel and go left and right from the T and up into those condenser thingies in the air scoops), then mine is clear tubing, NOT steel, and runs from the T up sort of between the hot air fan and the metal roof it is bolted through, back to the charcoal canister. The fan mounting is a flattened horseshoe shape which leaves just enough room to batten it down without pinching a hose going through there...don't know if it is the way it's "done", but it's the way it was done on mine! _________________ Cheers,

Look by the heat booster fan.
The vent line comes in from the left, another form the right. They meet at a T fitting, ultimately routed to the charcoal canister. _________________ Eric

Thanks Eric and all. Eric, is that a steel line going back to the canister, or a yellow plastic one?
I figured that's how it was done, but wanted to be certain! _________________ '76 Deluxe Campmobile |

It is a clearish yellow plastic from the T to the canister. _________________ Eric

Thanks Jim, I have. In fact I used that kit from German Supply.
The diagram just isn't detailed enough. I believe I have it figured out now - thanks for the help everyone! _________________ '76 Deluxe Campmobile |

Is THAT what that bracket on my fire wall is for?! The Charcoal Canister huh? My engine was converted to Single carb long ago (Not by me!) and I'm STILL figureing out what all the leftover odds and ends are. _________________ '73 Transporter 1.7L Dual Carb

everything in the front part of the diagram is fine but the rear part is weird on that diagram. i have never seen a bus that looks like that diagram in the rearward parts. one of these days i'll find time to do some diagrams like our fuel hose kit ones, of the various years of vapour recovery hoses. _________________ SL |

Agreed Scott. I have no doubt you'll sort out some nice new diagrams like you did with the fuel injection kit! Keep up the great work!
I'll be in touch at the beginning of the week!

If you're fixing the vapor line diagram, the asymmetrical blue 24 to the right of the red 24 is the mirror image of how it actually is (at least in my bus, but I think looking at the way it fits in there, on all buses, at least 77s). _________________ Cheers,
