With a westy top on top of the pickup cover!
PS: I didn't know they made vanagon single cabs. I have seen the double cabs though... |

I'm going with the idea that it's an inverted square bottom row boat painted to match his van. The picture you are seeing is next to a lake after he has pulled the boat out and is pulling away. I'll feel much better with that thought. |

Humm, I love my Vanagon, I love my Squareback , I love my Vanagon, I love my Squareback, I love my Vanagon, I love my Squareback, I love my Vanagon, I love my Squareback.
Damn, do I have to choose?
Okay, okay. I only have had one Squareback, but two Vanagons, so I guess Vanagons win

I have owned lots of different busses and trucks from '58-'64. This weekend I sold almost all of my old aircooled parts at a bus swap meet. I now own 3 vanagons- wanna take a guess what I think is better? |

haha, just wanted to see what feather i could ruffle. i'm cool with you guys, you seemed to handle it pretty well!! when my bones start to creak and i go from the mountaineering lifestyle to the public camp ground with kiddies style i'll be in the market for a vanagon, right now i'm just too young and too cool to be seen in one haha...well unless it's a syncro.... i'd roll one of those all day long!!! thanks for being good sports guys and either way a veeduber is a veeduber! long live the vee's!!!
also to comment on the photo i think thats what threw me is that westy roof looked to be stuck on there i didn't see any twine/rope/tie downs, like i said i thought it was a gmc at first when i was behind it only when it made the turn did i notice it was a VW all the way around. _________________ "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.

I have been driving busses since I was 14 The old busses are cool but a vanagon has heat, drives better, is more comfortable, has heat, is faster, is available in 4wd and it has heat. The truth is that I couldn't afford a syncro at the time or I would have had one of them at the time also- now i have 2. My '59 single cab, '62 crewcab or my '63 crewcab could never pull this off.

I have spotted a '63 crew in my area and I still have the itch to buy it and drop in a fat motor- old habits die hard. |
