|
|
Saw a picture of it, didn't pay attention to what they where called. But it
has wheels that bolt to the frame horns to move a pan around and I assume
they make one for the front end, but didn't see one. Can anyone either
give me a name or link? (I have searched but couldn't find it) It is hard to
find something when you don't have its proper name.

The ones we used at the dealer were "Local manufacture". We made them ourselves. For the rear, a piece of 3" angle iron with a caster wheel bolted to the center.
For the front, the sam basic thing, but 2 casters bolted to it.

I made mine out of angle iron and a wheel from harbor freight I believe. Why not just make your own? It's much cheaper! |

Yes that was kinda of my plan, but if they were available commercially
I was going to look at that. Also I can't weld and was looking to see if
you could bolt something together and wanted to see a picture for some
ideas. After posting this I think the one I saw was bolted to the tranny
mounts between the frame horns and not to the horns themselves. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SLIzSCt_cg&list=FLIX26sGa8__1F1loczLPTtg&index=2 |

300 bucks seems outrageous. I build mine with a $8 HF wheel and scap iron. I would think a local welding shop should be able to hack one together pretty cheap.

For $300, you can buy a welder, and all the material to build a set. When you are done, you still have the welder, and have learned to weld.
What is the sense of bolting to the tranny, if you are going to have the tranny out. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

Here is mine. Home brew. Materials were pulled from the dumpster at work.
4 swivel casters, and high enough that I can sit on a stool and not have to bend over while working.
The cross pieces are held with carriage bolts, that are movable, depending on where I want to work, and where the balance point it. Right now the car does not have an engine in it.
