Hello all!
Im curious as to what the differences are from early to late Notchback Decklids.
I realize the scripts will be different and maybe the trunk light switch button??

Any help is appreciated.

I ask because Im eying a Cherry '68 lid for my '65..... if the lid will bolt on, and there are only minor diferences, that would be ideal!

I have fitted a 73 boot lid fitted to my 68 without any issue. Even the script holes are a match.

This may not be helpful with a 65 but I imagine they are also the same except maybe for the script holes? but that's no real problem to deal with.

Fasty. The hole placement for the license light and trim indicates a '66-'69. Here' are 3 ways to help you tell which it is.

1.) Fasty has re-enforcements underneath, notch is smooth
Underside fasty:

2.) Measure from top corner of lid like this down to the bottom edge:

The baby was still sleeping so I went outside. It only took about 15 minutes. The good thing is that now everyone can tell the difference. Laughing
