Well, every once in a while even a blind squirrel finds and acorn! Actually, I only know a handful of Karmann Ghias in Northeast TN, and a few of them are near myself.
I am down in Greene county by the way, which is why I found you on CL as I was seeing what kind of goodies I might find, which occasionally turn up. _________________ Bondo? Bondo? We don't need no stinking Bondo!

I'm interested to see what you do with your tail lights. Or have you figured that out already? I have a '72 fat chick I'm putting on a diet. |

How is it that we both walk away a year ago and then come back within the same week? that is ultra freaky, maybe there is a Ghia God... _________________ '63 KG Roadster proj.

Don't forget you two are only here on sufferance...one step outta line and you're gone.
Apart from that welcome back to the terrible twins. |
Man, does that moderator guy blow a lot of hot air... Ever since the Olympics he acts like he owns the world!
"Hey buddy, its been a couple hundred years since the British fleet ruled the seas and every mortal on every continent bowed to the King/Queen, the Greeks once ruled the world too and look how that panned out.
Watch your step buddy... there are a couple of new/old sheriffs in town and being from a country that spawned the "Spice Girls" ain't gonna help you much when the ugly American's come calling....

God save the Queen!!!! Hey, it was you Brits who created a knob that goes to Eleven or I would never have been able to ramp it up that high...
(Of course it was an American playing an Englishman but thats nit picking in't it.)
Matt! Don't worry brother, I know I'm going into the box for that rant but it was worth it
On a note more related to why we're here, I really like what you have done with the problem area around the rear cowl, I am going to go back in your thread and see what you did there, looks great!

Yup, called KCW in Grand Junction today to start to get an idea what it's going to take, Ive come to the realization that I need to get some help for the next stages or I'll be stuck forever. How are ya John? (we'll just Hi-Jack Faust's thread till he chimes in) _________________ '63 KG Roadster proj.

Good god Slafa, I hope so! though I have been working on a Bay Camper most of the time lately. My little boy has wanted one since I started the ghia, we go camping at the local vw show every year, and he loves the campers - so I got one.
Im not giving up on the roadster - but Its nice to have some interest in my projects from the family so Im gonna try to get the camper going so we can have some fun with it this summer.
Ive had some recent experience with the Virginia laws regarding vehicle title issues, and it seems I may be facing a uphill battle getting the Ghia "legally" on the road

Hey, John! I'm surprised you haven't locked down this thread yet, it only serves as bad examples of body work, shitty welds and how I generally cant get anything done! It has been fun though.
In other news - Ive taken a new position at work, which is 75% travel. Ive been away from home quite a bit lately, but Its been a good move thus far.
I got to take my wife to NYC, and we all just got back from Mexico!
Its been a wild ride lately! _________________ 71' Ghia Roadster |
