It's been a while, so I'll play...recent weekend around my neck of the woods got me a couple new pics...
Roadside at the world's largest open pit iron mine, in Hibbing MN (yes, there is a van in the panorama...):
...and celebrating one of Hibbing's famous sons, outside the original band hall of historic Hibbing High School:
C'mon, Samba...post 'em up!!!

In honor of Canada Day, here's the Largest Boat Paddle in The World, outside Golden, B.C.
That was such a beautiful, perfect day. I love Canada. _________________ Joe T.

While much of the US experiences a heat wave, I thought you all might appreciate this refreshing shot from the self-proclaimed "Coldest Spot in the Nation".

I've been to a couple of those spots!
Polebridge in two different vans. Best bear claws ever.

Reminds me of the time I was stranded in Polebridge: We had just bought groceries at that store and were headed back to Bowman Lake on the dirt road north of town. When we got to the park entrance my oil light came on. A rock had flipped up and punctured my oil filter and all the oil was draining out onto the ground. I got a ride back into Polebridge and was able to buy enough oil at that store, but of course no filter. I got a ride back to my Van and attempted to fix the filter using JB Weld. I added the oil and drove back to Polbridge where the oil light came back on just as I pulled in.
I left the Van at the store and a nice couple from Whitefish gave me a ride into town where I was able to buy oil and a filter, and then, to my surprise they drove me all the way back to Polebridge where I got the Van running again. To this day, I've always carried a spare oil filter.
Is the Northern Lights Saloon still next door to the store? |

Not much of an attraction, but a windmill in the middle of nowhere.

That's a cool picture. The van matches the land for a very monochromatic scene contrasted by the blue sky. _________________ '87 Syncro

Okay, wind people, how about the tallest vertical axis wind turbine? Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec several years ago.
