First off, I love all of the ways you have found to install the fog lights.
In the front I wired the low watt filament into the blinkers to everyone can see me turning during the day and night, lol. The high filament is wired into the low beam of the head lights.
In the back I have the 3rd brake light with both filaments wired into the brakes. There is no way someone can miss my brake lights. Every now and then I see the people behind me putting up their hand trying to block the brightness of my brakes. I also wired in a reverse light so I can also see everything behind me.

I love the placement of the front fog lights. Can you share a picture of the back of them and the brackets used? Thanks! _________________ .

Iowa VW I’ve been wanting to do something similar with my fog lights in the front. That is, wire them into my directionals and parking lights. Do your fog lights have dual filament bulbs? Any more details on how you wired them? Thank you, your car is absolutely beautiful! _________________ 73 Westy

The front fog lights are dual filament, I got them from Air-cooled Accessories. I did a complete custom wiring and upgraded to 12v so if you're running stock better check the gauge wire is large enough for the bulbs. I ran a jumper wire from the blinkers to each bulb to 1 of the filaments. Then the low beam is connected to the other filament on the fog lights. Some day when I'm bored I might change it to power the 2nd filament with the parking lights so the fog lights are always on but I find with the low beam headlights and fog lamps on there is great lighting of the road and rarely use high beam.

Since I'm not running a manual choke, I replaced the choke knob with an early wiper switch for the foglights. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Anyone have pictures of foglights mounted without bumpers on a Bug? I assume a custom bracket is needed for that? _________________ Tom

When I was younger I ran T-bar bumpers and had installed motorcycle turnsignal housings in them. Could use the same method with fog lamps?
Otherwise may go through the body work like this old rally car. Can't imagine how wrecked that hood was though

I figured I'd have to modify a bumper mount or something, haven't seen anything aftermarket. I don't want to drill holes in my hood, lol. _________________ Tom

I added Hella valuefit lights to my 66 Baja.
They are controlled via an S-Pod attached to a radio blank.
Then I had a local river boat shop make a light bar for the front out of aluminum.
