I can't get power to my headlights. If i bypass the dimmer relay and connect my headlights directly to the headlight wires on the fusebox, the headlights work. I hook up a different relay, and I have the same problem.
On the assumption that I'm an idiot and i did the turn signal switch completely wrong, where do all the wires go?

Do any of those wires match the colours on the wire diagrams found here? [/url] |

Some of them. The graphs aren't specific on some wires, and some are different on replacement parts. _________________ My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely.

Your replacement switch/stalk might have extra wires as well. Do you still have the original one that you could use to match colours? What year is your car? |

Not sure about the year of your car. When I replaced my switch on my 70 Fastback I made the following diagram which labeled the contacts on the column. Hope this helps.

It's a 69. The switch is a generic, which unfortunately means I don't have convenient plug that you pictured.
I'm pretty sure the original is long gone... _________________ My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely.

Something to keep in mind is that the new switch will have 3 wires that are used for the side marker lights that your car may or may not have. Ideally you want to try and match the colors with your existing switch. If not, then using a VOM, figure out which wire(s) are doing what, and go from there.
The side marker light wires are usually gray, with a single stripe or 1 with multiple stripes (gray with black, gray with green, gray with both black and green). I hope this helps. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
