It really sucks when you are flying through mud with the window open and you get some in your mouth.

My dughter (12 years old) was hanging out the passenger window, urging me to go faster.
Nice clean river water, no mud, rinse all of the winter snow melt from the underside of the van.

The river crossing is concrete, smooth and flat, I was going about 20 mph.. faster would be no problem.

Every city/town needs to have a smooth, flat, concrete river crossing! Too cool.

Yeah, not like the rough, steep-banked, cobble-filled, two-foot-deep-in-the-spring one I have to go thru just to get to the paved road. We don't do that at 20mph, I can tell you that!

I love those spillway ones, you can blast over them and throw a ten-foot spray off both sides with only a couple inches of water! Woo hoo! Wish we had one.

Ah, I see their rationale...if anything bad happens from getting air (all four tires!) then the water in the roadway, after the bouncy bounce landing, should at least stop them.

Oh man, lucky lucky.
