How do think 195/45r17 tires would work? They are .25" more narrow and .4 " taller than 205/40r17's. I could use the extra height to avoid bottoming out and the taller sidewall should ride better. I am worried the extra height may cause rubbing issues but being more narrow could help to offset any rubbing.

I will look into it. I believe it is a short swing rear axle with drilled rotors. The front beam is definitely narrowed, not sure how much. I know the offset of the wheels front and rear is 38mm. See what I can find out.

I would also like to know the specs on that Ghia if you have them.

Narrowed beam, how much? Short axels, adapters, etc...
Thanks!

What they make as profit is not our busines. If you do not like the price, don't buy them. They look like very nice wheels.

Here's the birdie himself, that figure of $350 is incorrect. Believe me I know what they cost to build. My estimate early on was a projected $550 a wheel for a 17X7. After building the first production wheel, the price for a 17X7 is $600 each. Please contact Pete at www.airkewld.com for ordering and pricing.

Well considering they cost around 350 each to make............2400 is a huge mark up! And according to your website, that is for the standard 17x7!

If I recall correctly, just the forgings in raw form cost that. I have no idea where you got that info at. That price does not include the machining, the hoop or the polishing.

The price is estimated to be $550 each. These are made here in the US so definitely no problem getting them to you. All of the centers will be precut so turn around time will be alot less.
