Any auto parts store should have a generic electric pump if you can't find a mechanical one. Coming back from the Pomona swap one year, my roomate's Bus crapped a pump and Auto Zone in Bakersfield had one. It was like $40, but they had it. If you have a 1600 based engine (not 36 hp), try searching for a pump from a Bug, since they are interchangable. A lot of times they'll tell you they don't have the pump for your vehicle, but they have a perfectly good substitute on the shelf from a later model. _________________ Build thread: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212747

Glad to hear things worked out. Yes, there are still great people out there who will help others in times of need. My personal thanks to all of them! _________________ Street legal fiberglass rocket ship
