Nice. I want to do that to my 65 Panel (And the roof too). Not sure about a Barndoor but later Kombis had nothing in the back.

I got the board from wolfburg west in tne usa and it came over in a shipping container.

I have not driven it to fine out if its quieter yet , I doubt it, the roof is bare and I put no sound deadening behind it, thats a future project.

According to my birth certifcate my kombi had seats in the rear and panelling fitted as an option from the factory. I haven't re-fitted the panels yet as they are covered in a mint green paint which I need to remove.

There are some metal 'tags' welded to the rear wheel wells and B pillar for the panels to screw into, is this the same as a standard and deluxe?

In the photo you can see half of the panel that went around the rear window, and you can just see the panels either side of that. They're not like other buses where they curve around the corners, they're all flat. They look very home made (which I had assumed they were) until I got my birth certificate through.

If it's M13, "Middle and rear seats plus panels in the cargo area" I don't think this really means it had rear panels, just seats. I've seen all original Kombis with M13 that never had panels.

The metal tangs are not stock.

Yeah it is M013, so I guess my panels were added by a previous owner.

What do the panels crew into on a standard or deluxe then?

I am looking to make some of these panels for the cargo area of my 52 barndoor. Can anyone provide me with where to get this grey panel material. And yes, I have asked Clara if these are available and she advised not yet. I'm hoping to have these installed by spring. If anyone would have the dimensions of these I would appreciate it. And I am also looking to make some roof panels in same material.
