On a 70 conv, how do those chrome locating pins mount? Smile

They screw onto studs welded to the underside
of the top frame corner plates. The studs protrude down
through holes found in the front header bow.

If your top frame is original, there's a good chance
the studs are no longer present. Time and moisture
takes it's toll on them.

New corner plates are available from a couple of vendors,
but replacing them can be a major project.
