Anyone know how much it will cost to purchase a supervert in the U.S. and get it either Shipped or drive it back to canada? I am wondering the duty on it and if there is GST and if there is a way around all of that. If you have any suggestions or information for me please let me know.
Thanks.

No status, but if I wanted to drive a 1979 VW Super Beetle back I shouldn't have to pay GST and Duty as I used the vehicle while I was in the US. Is this Correct? Would I only have to produce Insurance, licence plates, sales reciept, and the title of the vehicle??

It's more involved than that. You also have to notify the boarder crossing in advance of your arrival and what your intentions are. You have to have all paperwork in order.

Don't think you can just bring it back with no duty or GST. You have to have owned the vehicle over a year not to pay any duty/GST and I believe that even after a year they still will ding you some tax.
