|
|
I've got this NOS set of doorlocks for my 66 panel
but they all have a different key...
The cargodoorhandle doesn't have a key at all (missing).
How can I take the cilinder out of the handle to make the cilinder
the same as the rest?
Do I have to tap out the square pin?
And in which direction?
Don't wanna mess up my handle!
Thanks _________________ www.volksfahrer.nl

There is a set screw on the side that holds the cylinder in. |

There are little small slotted set screws which release the tumler.
If that box for the door handle is the right part number, you will NOT be able to key it to match a '66 key. You need to make sure all of the door handles are t-series handles which are correct for a '66. |

I have a similar problem. My cargo doors on my '67 Standard are keyed differently from the rest of the locks on the bus. Any idea where to acquire a lock cylinder for the cargo door matching the others? I do have a key number written in my owner's manual.

Put the key in the cylinder, too, as you remove the eensey-weensey slot screw, then pull it out slow. |

please don't try to hammer out the square pin if the lock cylinder is not removed. you will break off the end of your lock tumbler where it engauges the locking pin. the same goes for locking icepick front door handles; ask me how i know _________________ WANTED:
